It’s All in the Hips

The thought of maintaining your hips seems something to worry about later on in life, but preventing injury and strengthening your hips can benefit you now AND in the long-run.

Hip discomfort is usually caused by tightness and lack of flexibility, essentially closing your hips and making future movements much more difficult.  Your hips are a ball and socket joint that’s supported by a few smaller muscles.  These muscles provide strength and support throughout the hips for optimal function.  Neglecting to maintain these muscles can lead to poor movement quality and much more stress on the surrounding muscles that can lead to strains, weakness and, ultimately, making you more susceptible to injury.
