01 Feb VAPE LINGO: THE BASICS
If you’re new to the vaping community, you might not be familiar with common vaping terms. Get to know the basics! Understanding the ins-and-outs of the vaping lifestyle is important for an enjoyable, carefree experience.
Analogue: Traditional tobacco cigarettes.
Atomizer: The heating element of an e-cigarette that heats the vape juice and turns it into vapour. Sometimes referred to as an atty.
APV: Advanced Personal Vapourizer; another way to describe an e-cigarette.
Cartomizer: Atomizer-cartridge in one. A vertical atomizer runs through a tube filled with cotton; the cotton is soaked with vape juice before vaping.
Cartridge: Holds the vape juice.
mAh: milliampere-hour; the vaping power a battery provides.
PV: Personal Vapourizer; see APV.
Vaping: The act of using an e-cigarette.
Vape Juice: The flavoured liquid that is turned into vapour when heated by the atomizer. Vapz Taste Budz contain water, propylene glycol and/ or vegetable glycerin, flavouring and nicotine (optional).
And speaking of lingo, “vape” officially became part of the Oxford Dictionary last year!
